(Nigeria) The police in Anambra State have arrested two suspects for allegedly running a kidnap den in Onitsha.
The spokesman of the Anambra police command, Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka, who confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, said the command had commenced investigation into the matter.
``Investigation is still going on and its outcome will determine the next line of action,’’ Chukwuemeka said.
The policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad raided the excluded house in  Onitsha where the two suspects (a man and a woman) were arrested on Tuesday.
It was gathered that the house at Onwuamegbu Crescent, GRA, Onitsha, was being used by the suspects to dump kidnap victims.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said a kidnap victim who was being guarded by the kidnapper's girl friend with a pistol and was demanding N3 million ransom escaped recently.
The source said the victim asked for water and as the woman went in search of the water, the victim escaped by scaling the fence and running to a police station.
