Obasanjo to preach as Love of Christ Generation Church marks 15 Years Anniversary
(Nigeria) All roads will lead to Love of Christ Generation Church C&S (Worldwide) Cathedral in Victoria Island Lagos, for its 15 years Anniversary and the One Year Thanksgiving of Cathedral Opening.
As part of efforts to mark the Anniversary,
a glorious one, a former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will be
the preacher of the Day.
His Imperial Majesty (HIM) Ojaja II, Oba
Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife is the Royal Father of the Day.
Others dignitaries expected to grace the
occasion as Special Guest of Honour are, Mrs. Nike Akande, former Minister of Industry and Hajia Hafsat Oduwole, Chairman, Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone and China Africa,
amongst others.
The event is expected to commence on September
2nd, 2022 with a 9-hour Marathon Praise.
The day will house gospel music singers
such as Mike Abdul, Wemimo Taiwo, Tony Sax, Segun Praise and many others.
This will be closely followed with an
In-House Interaction among church workers and members on September 3, 2022.
The day will avail the leadership of the
church and worshippers reflect on past achievements and also set new targets
going forward.
The grand finale of the event will take
place inside the church auditorium on September 4, 2022.
According to the founder of the Love of
Christ Generation Church, Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, the Church has called on
Nigerians from all walks to be part of the Anniversary.
" It is an open invitation and I wish
to welcome everyone to celebrate with us and to worship God as it's
scripturally written that those who worship God will worship Him in spirit and
in truth.
Responding to the issue of insecurity
presently rocking Nigeria, the cleric urged Nigerians to be steadfast in
prayers.
"There is need to infuse the fear of
God in our sermons and day to day lives, if we must get it right.
"We should continue to commit the
heart of our leaders in God's hand as He alone can touch them.
The fear of God is very important in
whatever we do so that when people get to position of authority, they will do
what is right.
"God's ears are not short that he
cannot hear us. Hence, I urge all us to continue to say positive things about
Nigeria because am sure all will be well with our dear country Nigeria," she
added.
"On the political front, the
clergywoman said all Presidential candidates of political parties for the 2023
were her close associates.
"I have known some of these
Presidential candidates long before now and I have also met a few of them
recently.
"They are our close friends, and they
are free to worship in our church anytime they feel so" she said.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
embarked upon by Love of Christ Generation Church C&S over the years have further stamped the
Church on the world map.
Notably among these included sponsoring of
no fewer than 128 students in private universities across Nigeria, with a lot
of assistance meted out to organisations, associations and individuals.
Ajayi further revealed that plans were
underway to win souls and establish more parishes globally in year 2023.
