IPOB to Nigeria Army: Your extortion has brought attacks, lack of respect for you

(Nigeria) The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Tuesday, said the Army and other security agencies were responsible for the destructions and arsons in South East.

IPOB recall the army destructive and arson activities, particularly the one they carried out in Izombe, Oguta Local Government Area, Imo State.

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful,  said: "It is rather the Nigeria military and their sister security agencies that are masterminding the ongoing secret genocide and mayhem in South East.

“It is quite unfortunate that after committing these atrocities, these vampires cleverly point accusing fingers at IPOB, just to cover their flanks and deceive the gullible. And we dare to ask the if it was IPOB that attacked the Izombe community in Oguta Council area, destroyed their housing through arson, burned over fifteen vehicles and over thirty motor cycles in the community.

“Nigeria Army is afraid of facing Boko Haram and other terrorists in the North, but down here in the South they have taken over the work of the police in their desperation to kill more Biafrans. They have surpassed the Police in extortion of motorist and even have civilians who collect money for them at every check points across South East.

“We want to tell the Nigerian Army that no matter how much they want to twist facts the public is already aware of their pranks. The Nigerian public have lost respect for the once respected, revered and responsible Nigerian Army and that is why they are now being attacked by people whom they have suffered on long holdups and extorted various sums of money, who could not bear the pains of their irresponsible and indiscipline behaviours on the roads.

"We are urging the leadership of the Nigeria Army not to pretend that they do not know what their soldiers and officers are doing on the roads in South East and other Southern roads, and should discipline and give them better orientation to behave like Army of other African countries who can never get involve in the kind of indiscipline and irresponsible  behaviours the present day Nigeria Army and other Armed forces are involved in which makes the prone to attacks.

"The serial killings going on now in the land of Biafra are masterminded by the military and they cannot deny it. There are viral videos where the Nigeria Army is demonstrating its might against innocent, helpless and hapless people of Awgu in Enugu State.

"Will the Nigerian Army say those burning down houses in the said video are IPOB and ESN? We challenge them for a forensic audit of the viral video. The UN should investigate this to establish the real identify of those behind the ongoing destruction in South East.

"We wonder how Nigeria Army and its security counterparts would derive joy in killing Biafrans, but Boko Haram and bandits sacked them in their barracks in the North. The world will one day hold them accountable for these atrocities and crime against humanity. The truth will one day refuse to be buried, the Nigerian public does not have simple respect and regard for today's Nigerian Army and we pity them.

"The media should stop being afraid to tell the Nigerian Army the level of disrespect and disregard the Nigeria public have for them because of their irresponsible and indiscipline behaviours on the Nigerian roads, the media should stop buying into their lies and report objectively the way the Nigeria public see them now."
