Traditional rulers implicating youths opposed to land sale to killer herdsmen ---IPOB

(Nigeria) Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Wednesday, cautioned  traditional rulers in South East, who reports their youths to Nigerian Army and Navy, for opposing the sale of their community lands to herdsmen.

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, entitled "Any traditional ruler in Biafra land found to be reporting his subjects to the Army and Navy for opposing the sale of their community land to Fulani herdsmen, should be prepared to reap the fruit of their treachery," said:  "The attention of the global family of  IPOB  led by our indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the treacherous and abominable activities of some evil traditional rulers in Biafran land who report their youths to the Nigerian soldiers to kill them because they opposed the sale of their community's land to Fulani herdsmen.

"We have also got reports of traditional rulers who terrorise their youths in their community by tagging them IPOB members and Eastern Security Network, ESN, operatives because they opposed their plans to sell their community land to Fulani herdsmen.

"We want to sound it clear that henceforth, any traditional ruler that reports his subjects to the Nigeria Army or Navy to torture them for opposing their plans to sell community land to Fulani herdsmen, shall get ready to answer to our ancestors. Such evil traitors in the name of monarchs are not worthy to live, how much more occupy the Igweship or Ezeship stool in Biafraland.

"It is an abomination for any traditional ruler in Biafra land to report youths in his community to terror-friendly Nigeria Navy and Army just because he feels the youths are standing in his way to sell the community land to the Fulani herders.

"We therefore warning all such treacherous monarchs to retrace their steps or brace up for the consequences of their evil action.

On this note, we demand the unconditional release of all the youths arrested by the Navy at Atani and other communities in Ogbaru, Anambra State.

"If you evil monarchs doubt our resolve to deal with you by failing to release those arrested youths you instigated the Naval officials in Ogbaru to arrest in the affected communities within seven days are not released, you the treacherous traditional rulers who masterminded their ordeals, should prepare to reap the fruit of your treachery by meeting your ancestors.

"Henceforth, any treacherous traditional ruler found to be selling our ancestral land to the terrorist Fulani herdsmen, shall be held responsible for whatever consequences that will emanate from such action."
