Zone 5 AIG tasks officers, men of election duties on professionalism

(Nigeria) The new Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 5 command headquarters, Benin City, Edo State, AIG Dibal Yakadi, has warned officers and men deployed for the election duties across the three states in the zone, to be professional and avoid any act that will tarnish the image of the force.
The three states under the zone are Bayelsa, Delta and Edo.
Mr Emeka Iheanachi, Zonal Public Relation Officer, Zone 5, headquarters in a statement, on Monday, said “AIG Yakadi, hereby wishes to solicit for the co-operation of the good people of the zone, to assist the police with useful information that will enhance in checkmating crime and criminality in the entire zone. 
“He assures members of the public that information given to the police will be treated with absolute confidentiality. 
“He also request that the good people of the three states in the zone should conduct themselves orderly in the forthcoming general election, as any act of thuggery and hooliganism will not be tolerated.  He warned officers and men deployed for the election duties across the three states in the zone, to be professional and avoid any act that will tarnish the image of the Force.”
The statement added that prior to Yakadi deployment to the zone,  he has held various positions in the Nigeria Police Force among which include; the Commissioner of Police,  Benue State Police Command, Commissioner of Police, Police Mobile Force, PMF, Force Headquarters, Abuja,  Commandant,  Police College Ikeja, Lagos State as well as Commissioner of Police,  Niger State Police Command.
