Urhobo Peoples Assembly for Okowa embarks on door to door campaign

*Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State

(Nigeria) A social political pressure group, Urhobo Peoples Assembly for Okowa, UPAO, is to embark on a door to door mosquito campaign for Okowa re-election and other candidates of the party from now till eve of the governorship election.
The group in a statement by the state Chairman, Kenneth  Oghenevwarhe Vincent and Onome Uvwo Secretary, respectively, said Urhobo must abides by the rotational agreement by allowing Anioma completes its second tenure before its come back to Urhobo nation.
The statement which said the routine for the mosquito campaign will be carried out twice daily, morning and late evening to sensitize the people on the need to vote massively for Okowa and all state House of Assembly candidates of the party.
Oghenevwarhe who said no part of Urhobo nation will be left out in their bid to deliver Okowa, explained that a decision had  been taken by the group to ensure that canvassers of the group show their converts at the end of every two days before the election.
He said, “Let us abide by the rules, whether written or unwritten. We all agreed that after Delta Central, it will be the turn of Delta South and thereafter, Delta North. Why is it now that we are trying to deny Delta North. It is on this background that we had taken it upon ourselves to mobilise supports for Okowa and other PDP candidates.
“We have all seen the results of the Senate and House of Representatives across the state and how PDP won overwhelmingly. You can see this is a pointer to the fact that the party is on ground and we need the few days from now to put this right for the purpose of victory for our principal."
