Warri South-West constituency not conceded to any body ----Atete
(Nigeria) Former National President of Ugborodo youths body
and House of Assembly aspirant in the 2019 general election on the platform of
the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Mr. Julius Atete has said
that it was not true that the Warri South-West Constituency position had been
ceded to the Ijaws of the constituency.
He said the only politically agreed position to be rotated between
the Ijaws and Itsekiris was that of the chairmanship position of the Council
and nothing more, adding being of both ethnic nationalities, he was the most
qualified and fit person to represent the constituency in the Delta State House
of Assembly as Itsekiris are not prepared to concede the seat with them having
more wards in the council.
Atete made these assertions during an interactive session
with newsmen in Warri, Delta State, when he disclosed his ambition to run
for the DSHA position, saying he will create more unity, sustain the existing peace and
attract infrastructural development to the oil-rich axis of the state.
He added that creating employment opportunities for the teaming youths of the area will
rank high on his agenda.
The proprietor of Julius Atete Football Club that unites the
Ijaw and Itsekiri youths of the area tasked the electorate to get their PVCs to
enable them vote candidates of their choice and charge all aspirants to engaged
on issue based campaign and stop maligning each other as politics is not a
do-or- die affairs, saying that they are all brothers who should support
whoever emerges as the PDP flag bearer after the party primaries.
He appealed to party faithful to key behind the
winner and offer their to enable the PDP clinch the seat and attract more
democracy dividends to the area.
