IPOB thanks mass media for bold reportage
*Nnamdi Kanu
(Nigeria) The indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, worldwide has thanked members of the mass media for their boldness in disseminating the information to the people of Nigeria and the entire world, particulaly about happenings in the South East and parts of South-South (Biafra land).
IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma
Powerful, said it was expressing the appreciation on behalf of its detained
leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
He said, "Greetings from Biafraland anywhere you may be right now gentlemen and
women of the fourth estate. This is to thank you for the enormous work you are
doing for IPOB and for the restoration of ancient nation called Biafra. We
appreciate your great work with all our hearts. Thank you.
"On behalf of our leader, Kanu and the entire
membership of IPOB worldwide, we wish you a memorable happy Christmas and
prosperous New Year in advance.
"We look forward to celebrating the coming of Biafra in the
not too distant future where journalists like your good self can practice your
profession without molestation or need to play safe in the hands of the Nigeria
government and security agencies because of the the truth you say.
"Once again, we say thanks to you all for your good
work towards the propagation and realization of Biafra. Therefore, the leader
and other members of IPOB thank you people but have a little advice to give and
to let you know that we prefer you writing or using the words restoration,
liberation and realization than actualization in all our press statements
because IPOB are not for actualization but for the restoration of nation of
Biafra.
"Again, my brothers and sisters in the field of
journalism, we in IPOB don't believe in
Igbo affair because Biafra comprises so many tribes in it and we are not
fighting for Igbo course alone, please always use the word Biafra not Igbo
because Igbo is a tribe in Biafra land."
