Ibori is a pillar in Delta, says Delta Speaker

(Nigeria) Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Monday Igbuya on Wednesday acknowledged the fighting spirit and numerous achievements of Chief James Ibori, praising him for advancing the cause of Nigeria and giving Delta State his best.
He also described the former Delta State governor as a rallying point and a source of great pride and strength to Nigerians.
In a statement in Asaba, the Speaker praised the former governor for defending the interests of the South-South people.
Showing his degree of ecstasy and excitement on the release of the ex-governor, Igbuya praised Ibori’s legal team.
He commended the ex-governor for inspiring many Nigerians to greater heights, contributing significantly to the electoral fortunes of key political actors in the country and succeeding in the art of governance.
“Chief James Ibori loves Nigeria more than any other thing. He made great sacrifices on several occasions to demonstrate this love,” he said.
Testifying in unmistakable terms Ibori’s inclination for justice and equality, particularly his principled stand on the issue of resource control, Igbuya said Ibori pursued the socio-economic and industrial development of the state with vigour.
Igbuya also said Ibori mobilized Deltans effectively for the development of the state.
“Chief James Ibori is a pillar in Delta State,” the statement added.
