Wike swears in a Judge of River's Customary Court of Appeal

(Nigeria) Rivers State governor,  Mr Nyesom Wike  has called on members of the judiciary to remain courageous in the dispensation of justice to the  people.
Governor Wike also called on the judiciary not to be distracted by their antics of some members of the public negatively affected by their judicial pronouncements based on the tenets of the law.
The governor noted that no matter the  judgment delivered,  there will be those that will not be satisfied with the judge.
He spoke at the Government House Port Harcourt on Friday  during the swearing in of Justice Nwadum Lahr Deemua as a judge of the Rivers State Customary court of Appeal.
He said : "My advise is that judicial officers must dispense justice according to the tenets of the law. In doing this,  they must be courageous and remain resolute at all times.
"Once judgments are delivered in accordance with the provision of the law,  it doesn't matter what people say. People will always make comments whichever way Judgments go."
He assured the judiciary that his administration will continue to ensure its independence and financial autonomy.
In attendance at the swearing in of the judge of the Customary Court of Appeal were Rivers State Chief Judge,  Justice Iyayi-Lamikanra, Wife of the Governor,  Justice Eberechi Suzzette-Wike and other judges of  Rivers State.
