Senator Omo-Agege eulogises late Felix Ibru

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central in the National Assembly, has eulogised late former governor of the state, Olorogun Felix Ibru, saying He ran a good race with the power of his exemplary life.”
Omo-Agege in a statement, on the burial of Olorogun Ibru, said “We are here to celebrate the profound goodness of Olorogun Felix Ovuodoroye Ibru who transcended to the heavenly realm having impacted so amazingly on this world in positive ways. Joined by common destiny in the Great Ibru Dynasty of Agbarha Kingdom, this leader of the Urhobo nation spent himself selflessly for the common good of our people.
“He was there when the Ibru Organisation launched the possibilities of the Black Race as a phenomenal global success in business. As the governor of Delta State, this quintessential icon of the Urhobo nation laboured diligently to lay our democratic foundations. When the Urhobo nation called upon him to be its Abuja ambassador, this great man served admirably as a Senator. When again, the Urhobo nation called upon him to lead the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, he accepted and led with dignity as our President-General.
“We all know our leader as a man of amazing grace, peace and patriotism. He was respected by all for his firm and steady leadership, calm spirit, unquestionable integrity and profoundly good nature. Typical of the natural calling of the Ibrus, Olorogun Ibru’s leadership touched people in positive ways. He took nothing from our people. He gave his all. He lived well.
“Senator Ibru’s life is only but a reminder to us to live well. He ran a good race with the power of his exemplary life. His beautiful life should speak to us to do good for our people with all our strengths. The very enduring and endearing legacies of great leaders are in good deeds, not primitive accumulation of public wealth in private coffers. Because the life of Senator Ibru embodies this infallible truth, we must celebrate his passage with the very best in us.
“I must end this tribute by saying: Rest in perfect peace Olorogun Ibru - our beloved Father and Leader, pioneer governor, Senator and President-General of our UPU. May angels sing of your beautiful life story in Heaven to the glory of God Almighty who has called you home. We love you.”
