Ogun state pays July salary


(Nigeria) Despite the persistent downturn in the economic situation of the country, the Ogun State Government is living up to expectation with the prompt payment of workers' salaries and pension as at when due.
The state Commissioner for Finance, Mr Adewale Oshinowo, in a statement in Abeokuta, said that the July salaries of the workers in the state have been paid, emphasising that it was paid before the month ended to enable the workers  cater for their needs at the appropriate time.
"Workers in Ogun have started receiving credit alerts from their various banks, even before the month ended. This is to help them sort their needs. We are time conscious when it comes to the welfare of Ogun State workers", the commissioner stated.
He reiterated the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administrations continued commitment to ensuring workers welfare is taken care of at all times, notwithstanding the current cash crunch nationwide.
Oshinowo enjoined civil servants in the state to complement governments effort by contributing their quota towards realising the rebuilding mission of the government by being punctual and  committed to their jobs.
