Odubu, Esele, monarch, others drug support for Obaseki


(Nigeria) Deputy Governor of Edo State,  Dr. Pius Odubu has expressed optimism that Mr. Godwin Obaseki will win the forth-coming governorship election in Edo State.
Odubu who came second in the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primaries, stated this in Esan land in Edo Central when the APC flag of their campaign in the area. 
According to Odubu, “We need to build an economic state and not a political state any more. We need an economic state where products  move from farm to factory. We have a man with the magic key to build and develop Edo into an economic state and that man is Mr. Godwin Obaseki.”
He argued that you cannot build effective economic  without capable human capacity. “APC  is a party that is mindful about the future of our State and that is why we have a candidate with sufficient experience and exposure in the investment sector and Obaseki has all it takes to attract investment opportunities into Edo State.
“The only way to secure the future of Edo State is to vote for a man that is driven by passion to lead the State the way our founding fathers had intended. The APC is the route to the continuous social redemption of our state.
"In the past seven and half years we have proven our political worth by our track record of performance.  We must not return to our days as an opposition state.”
Also speaking, another governorship aspirant during the APC primaries, Mr Peter Esele and the only female governorship aspirant Lady Tina Agbara, said "Governorship is not for children and if you are a yesterday's man, you cannot rule in today's society.”
According to him,  “Godwin Obaseki has the content, character and street credibility to become a governor. As a party, we are all united on a common ground. With Godwin Obaseki as the next governor of our state,  we can ensure job security and massive industrialisation of our state. A vote for APC is a vote that will end unemployment and create opportunities for Esan youth,” Esele said.
Meanwhile, Lady Agbara has expressed confidence that Mr. Obaseki will take care of Edo Women through the provision of micro -credit facilities and training programme to acquire skills and enhance the level of productivity in every part of the State. 
"We need a governor that is approachable and understand the challenges of Women. Godwin Obaseki has shown more commitment to the welfare of Edo women than any other candidates in the state.”
She appealed to Esan community to vote for good governance and support the APC developmental plan for continuity.
Earlier, the Ogirrua of Irrual Kingdom and Okaijesan of  Esan land H.R.M Alhaji William Momodu II,  had assured Adams Oshiomhole that his palace and the good people of Esan land will do everything within their ability to ensure continuity in the APC administration in order to complete the ongoing infrastructural development in Esan land.
The monarch who was speaking when the APC campaign train took the political battle to the domain of the PDP Political leader Chief Tony Aneni in Esan land, described Oshiomhole as a personal friend who has shown commitment and respect to the traditional institution.
He maintains that the good work of the APC administration in the State is visible for everyone to see.
He therefore, appealled to all Sons and Daughters of Esan land to support and vote a government that will build and continue with the level of development in the state.
While assuring the people of Esan land that he has all it takes to exceed the performance of Oshiomhole, the APC governorship candidate said he was coming to build on the foundation that has been put in place by the current administration adding that Esan people will benefit immensely from the industrial plan which his administration will put in place.
In his words, "We have given out lands to investors in Esan community and as soon as I emerge as the next governor of Edo State we will kicks start our industrialisation activities and provide prosperity for all Edo people.”
