Army parades 15 hoodlums in Rivers state



The Nigerian Army on Sunday, paraded 15 hoodlums arrested at some black spots in  Town area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 

Spokesman, 2 Brigade, Captain Lazarus Eli, who addressed newsmen at the Brigade headquarters,  where the suspects were paraded, said that a total of 142 persons were arrested during the military raid on the criminal hideouts,  adding that 127 were later released after thorough investigation.
He said the 15 suspects paraded will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
"About 142 suspects were arrested during the raid operation.  However, after profiling the suspects, some were released while fifteen suspects are being interrogated and would be handed over to the relevant security agencies for further investigation," he said.
Lazarus said residents in the state should not panic over the show of force by the army on the streets  as part of the "Exercise Crocodile Smile," a military operation launched recently by the army for the region.
