Ramadan: Aisha Buhari urges women to pray for peace

(Nigeria) The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has urged women to use this Ramadan period to pray for peace and security of the nation.
In a Ramadan message on Sunday to women in Oyo State, she said “As women we have to pray for the peace and security of the nation in this holy period," she said.
The wife of the president, who also sent foodstuff to the women, called on Nigerians to embrace peace and selflessness.
Distributing the items, the Oyo State Governor’s wife, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, urged Muslims to emulate such act during the Ramadan.
Ajimobi commended the wife of the president for her benevolence and noted that it was the first time the state had received such gesture from the federal stratum.
According to her, the importance of giving to the needy during Ramadan has a lot of blessings attached to it and also reaching out to the less privileged in the society.
Ajimobi was represented by the state Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Atinuke Osunkoya.
Some of the recipients thanked Buhari for giving generously to the women in the state, and prayed that God will bless her endeavours.
The foodstuff distributed included bags rice, vegetable oil, custard and garri, among others.
