Niger Delta Avengers bomb Chevron’s electricity feed pipeline

(Nigeria) Niger militant group, Niger Delta Avengers, NDA, on Thursday, blew up the major electricity feed pipeline to the Escravos Tank Farm at Ciera creek, near Abiteye community, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, operated by Chevron Nigeria Limited.

The group in a post on its twitter handle said, “We Warned #Chevron but they didn't Listen. @NDAvengers just blow up the Escravos tank farm Main Electricity Feed PipeLine.”
The group had warned Chevron not to undertake repair works on its Valve Platform or any other of its facilities, which it destroyed on May 5.
The attack is likely in response to repair works being carried out by Chevron on the said facilities.
It had also given former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Minister of Defence,  General Theophilus Danjuma, late former Minister of Petroleum, Alhaji Riwalnu Lukman, other Northerners and South-Westerners in Niger-Delta region who own oil blocs to vacate the region alongside their workers or face attacks on such oil blocs.
The ultimatum expires Thursday.
