PDP chairmanship: Delta Speaker defends Esiso

(Nigeria) The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Monday Igbuya, on Thursday cleared the air on one of the wrong information about the Special Adviser to the Governor on Library, Mr Kingsley Esiso.
“Kingsley Esiso is an indigene of Okpara Inland. I can tell you this for sure. His father was buried in Okpara Inland. I was in attendance at the burial about 15 years ago. And I hope that will rest the argument of where he is from,” he said.
Reacting to media report on Esiso’s origins by a self-proclaimed group, Ethiope East Chapter of Delta Central PDP Youth Movement, the Speaker said the views of the group were aimed at discrediting the special adviser to the governor.
“Esiso is a duly registered member of PDP. He is a card carrying member of PDP, Ward 2 in Sapele Local Government Area. Esiso has diligently served the party. We are fully in support of his ambition as elucidated by DCPYM” he said.
He advised DCPYM not to distort the record of a man who served PDP with honour.
“The President of DCPYM, Mr. Phillip Omoniorho and his co-travelers should also know that Barrister Esiso was given the title of the Oruese of Agbon Kingdom while the wife, Mrs. Esiso was conferred the Ughana of Agbon Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Ukori 1st, the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom.
”The chairmanship of PDP in Delta State should not be based on sentiment” he advised.
