Ekiti APC commiserates with families of dead doctors

(Nigeria) All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State has commiserated with the people of the state and families of six medical doctors at the Federal Medical Centre, Ido-Ekiti, and their driver who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident along Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday.
They were going on an official assignment in Sokoto when the tyre of their vehicle burst.
Those who lost their lives included Dr. Alex Akinyele, who was Secretary of the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, in Ekiti State;  Dr. Tunde Aladesanmi, and Dr. O.J. Taiwo, an Anatomic Pathologist at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH, Ado-Ekiti; Dr. J.B Ogunseye, Dr. O. Olajide and Dr. Atolani Adeniyi.
Their driver, Mr Ajibola, also lost his life.
In a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, APC Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said the party regretted the sudden loss of the physicians, who he described as illustrious sons of the state who had made their marks in medical profession.
He said the death was a blow to the medical profession, particularly at a time more medical doctors are needed to man the state medical institutions to take care of the health needs of the people.
He urged the families of the departed physicians and their driver to bear the loss with fortitude and urged Ekiti people to pray for the repose of their souls in the bosom of the Lord.
