Rivers rerun: Abe tells Rivers people to be forward looking

Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the Rivers South East senatorial district re-run election has welcomed the people of Rivers South East senatorial district from the Easter holiday and enjoined them to look forward to returning him at the completion of the re-run elections.
In a statement in Port Harcourt by Parry Benson, Spokesperson to Senator Abe, he hoped that the people had a blissful Easter celebration despite the trauma of the March 19 re-run elections and reminded them of the need to persevere until he emerged the winner of the election, adding that nothing good comes easy.
The statement commended them for their turnout at the elections, despite  threat to their lives and property, and pleaded with them to do the same whenever the suspended elections were re-scheduled.
It saluted the people of the local government areas that the elections were not suspended for their unflinching support for Abe, assuring of his ability to deliver.
The statement said that the people of the district were highly enlightened and knew the stakes at the election, pointing out that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, could only delay but not deny the people their choice.
It thanked the people for understanding the mudslinging tactics of PDP and stated that they had backfired.
