The re-run election which took place March 12 in Etinan, Ikot Ekpene/ Obot Akara, Ibesikpo/ Asuntan, Oron/ Udung Uko state constituencies and some polling units in Itu and Akwa Ibom North East senatorial district, was peaceful and saw the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidates in those constituencies wining with landslide margins.
The candidates who all retuned to the state House of Assembly were: Aniekan Uko, former Speaker from Ibesikpo Asutan, Aniefiok Dennis from Etinan state constituency, Prince Idongesit Ntekpere from Ikot Ekpene/ Obot Akara state constituency and Effiong Okon from Oron/Udung Uko state constituency.

He said, “We have once again affirmed the fact that this is a decidedly PDP state by the manner you came out peacefully to return your representatives to the state House of Assembly.
