Mimiko, 50 Obas at Elegbeleye's installation as Otunba Ikareland

(Nigeria) It was a day to remember in Ikare, Ondo State as Governor Olusegun Mimiko led other dignitaries in the state including about 50 Obas to the installation ceremony of former Director General of the National Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeleye as the Otunba of Ikareland by His Royal Highness Oba Akadiri Momoh, the Olukare of Ikareland and the Olukare in Council who found the sports administrator cum politician worthy of the title.
The chieftaincy title has only been conferred on one person in the history of the Ikare  kingdom and that was the late elder statesman, Otunba Mohammed Jobi Fele.  Otunba Elegbeleye is now the  second privileged son of the land to hold the title.
The installation ceremony took place in Ikare, Ondo State at the Olukare's Palace, Ikare Akoko in Ondo State.
Governor Mimiko led a powerful delegation to the Victory College, venue of the reception shortly after the installation.
Otunba Elegbeleye's intallation also attracted top stars in the sports industry which included the Dream Team VI Chief Coach Samson Siasia, Ollmpians Mary Onyali and Chika Chukwumerije while former Super Eagles star Waidi Akanni also attended.
Some other dignitaries that also graced the ceremony included  Senator Yele Omogunwa. ,Hon Yomi Akinruntan, Prince Rotimi Ibidapo (Bassey), Banji Alabi, Kayode Alifa, Bashorun Kasali Alo and  Dr Ade Abitoye.
Also present at the occasion were Colonel Roland Omowa, Gbenga Familoni, Modupe Osahikoya, Sir Lucky Mayor, Dr Tunji Abayomi while the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly stormed the occasion with the full compliments of his members.
Other eminent personalities that graced the occasion included Ehigie Edobor Uzamere,, the late Ooni Olubuse Sijuade's wife Olori Odun Sijuwade while Nollywood stars like Fatia Balogun, Rose Odika, Orisabunmi, Foluke Daramola, Dorothy Njemanze  to mention but a few were also at the ceremony.
