Death toll in Damascus IS twin bomb attack hits 60
The death toll in the Islamic State twin bomb attacks near Syrian holiest Shi'ite shrine, in the southern
suburb of Syria’s capital Damascus on Sunday, has risen to 60.
It was learned that a car bomb went off near a security checkpoint in the area, followed by an explosion caused by a suicide bomber blowing himself up in the crowd.

Though Syrian Interior Ministry said 30 people were killed in attacks.
The ministry said "30 people died and 40 were
injured."
Two explosions went off on Sunday morning in the
predominantly Shiite Damasus suburb of Sayyida Zeinab.
Syria’s police say according to preliminary data the blasts
were carried out by suicide bombers near a shrine with a tomb of Zeinab, the
granddaughter of Prophet Muhammad.
