Abducted Delta monarch found dead in Edo bushes

His Royal Majesty, Obi Akaeze  Ofulue III, the king of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State,  kidnapped two weeks ago by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Obior/ Igbodo Road along with his driver, has been reportedly killed ‎by his abductors.
The deceased king was abducted on January 5. It was learned that the corpse of the monarch, who was also a British citizen, was found at Ekpon bush in Edo State at 3p.m., Thursday.
A palace source, said a young Hausa man who was allegedly found in custody of the king's GSM hand set was arrested three days ago by the police.                                                          
The source said that the kingdom had been thrown into mourning and confusion, adding that the "late monarch is so dear to us. His death has brought setback to the kingdom. "
The monarch passed on at the age of 52.
Meanwhile,  it was gathered that the arrested Hausa boy was still being questioned by security operatives.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, in the state, Celestina Kalu confirmed the news, saying that the command was hunting for the kidnappers.
