Ukrainian troops open fire on Donetsk’s Petrov district

The Ukrainian military shelled the Trudovaya Mine settlement in the western suburb of Donetsk - the Petrov district, head of the local administration Maxim Zhukovsky told the Donetsk News Agency on Sunday.
"Last night, at 10p.m., shelling of the Trudovaya Mine area began; no damages or victims are registered," the official said, reports Tass.
"The shelling was delivered from Mariinka."
On Tuesday, December 22, at a meeting of the Contact Group, Kiev and the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk republics agreed on ceasefire in the region from midnight on December 23.
 However, both the Donetsk and Lugansk regions registered ceasefire violations from positions of the Ukrainian military.
