Ogun assures of prompt payment of salaries, pensions

(Nigeria) The Ogun State Government has assured of prompt payment of workers’ salaries, benefits and pensions of retired officers.
‎Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Adedayo Adeneye, who spoke in Lagos, ‎said despite ‘paucity of funds’ which has become a national phenomenon, the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration would fulfil   all its financial obligations.
“Ogun State Government was the second in the Federation to pay December salary with 10 percent bonus before Christmas. Government takes workers welfare as priority and that is why it has done the needful so that its workers will have a joyous celebration this Yuletide season,” he added.
Fielding questions on a live a television programme, the commissioner noted that the state government was very much aware of the immense contribution of its workers towards the development of the state and so would not in any way undermine their efforts but rather continue to improve on their welfare.
He however, called on the entire workers to support and cooperate with the state government so as to achieve its mission to rebuild agenda.
