Malaysian court sentences Nigerian to death by hanging

A 37-year-old Nigerian man, Ekene Collins Isaac, was on Monday sentenced to death by hanging, by a Malaysian High Court.
The presiding judge, Datuk Wan Afrah Wan Ibrahim, found the Nigerian guilty of trafficking 915.6 grammes of methamphetamine into Malaysia three years ago.
Justice Wan Afrah held that the prosecution had proven the case against the convict.
Isaac (convict) did not show any reaction when the sentence was read out by the judge.
According to the charge, Isaac, who had been a cleaner in Nigeria, allegedly committed the offence at Wad 6C, Serdang Hospital, at Jalan Puchong, Kajang, between 7.20 a.m., on March 3, 2012 and 1p.m., on March 5 of the same year.
It was gathered that the contra-banned drugs were reportedly found inside his body.
