Alamieyeseigha didn’t allow ill-power find sleep ----Diigbo

(Nigeria) “Chief Deipreye Alamieyeseigha  - a true man of peace, but, he didn’t just live for himself, or go to sleep, to let ill-power – the perpetrators of injustice in  Nigeria find sleep,” says the President of Ogoni Central Indigenous Authority, Dr. Goodluck Diigbo.
Diigbo said his wisdom, love, and power of understanding of “right” or “wrong”, distinguished Alamieyeigha as a firm, but, silent companion of the Ogoni people.
In a statement, expressing condolence to his immediate family, and the Izon People, he stated that the Ogoni people are deeply pained by the sudden death of Alamieyeseigha.
“It is with great disbelief that we waited for a different news since his death became public knowledge on Saturday, October 10, 2015,” he said
“He was with us in our struggle to restore the glory of our destroyed homeland.  Not, because he saw the earth as our permanent home, but, wanted to give the powerless, and voiceless a chance to develop themselves to the close of physical life. His ideals, and actions parallel us with the Ijaws – a people with lingering history of dehumanization, and deprivation since the era of slavery.
"I place myself among those disappointed with dirty politics of desperation, intimidation, vengeance, and veiled authoritarianism pursued with fanfare in Nigeria” today.
“The Ogoni people will continue to follow what is happening in the Izon Nation, and with empathy, stand with our brothers, and sisters in this moment of grief,” Diigbo concluded.
