Oshiomhole challenges Okonjo-Iweala to publish earning from NLNG

(Nigeria) Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State and a member of the team investigating the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC and the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday, challenged the former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to publish letter of authority as to how $6 billion dollars of excess crude taxes from the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG and other funds were transferred to the Consolidated Account.
Oshiomhole, said "She (Okonjo-Iweala) should publish the letter or instrument of authority as to how the  excess crude fund and  other sources such as NIMASA about $6bn from taxes from NLNG and the  remittance  for four years paid but not transferred to the consolidated federal funds.
"The funds belongs to the three tiers of government and she should produce monthly statements of accruals the distributions. Authorisation of funds are not verbal matters, there must be approvals and that is what we are asking for.
"My committee will invite her and allow her ample opportunity to reply to each of the charges against her office and NNPC  as Coordinating Minister for the Economy. She will also be required to justify billions of naira and dollars she granted as waivers, that should have flowed into the federations consolidated revenue fund.
"There is no hiding place now.  Everyone must now answer his/her father's name. Bold face will not suffice. She will be invited to exercise the the right to fair hearing," he added.
