Ruth Wilson shows serious sideboob
She's got some front: Ruth Wilson dared to bare at a screening for the second series of The Affair in Beverly Hills on Wednesday
She has recently insisted she was appalled by the TV industry's incessant focus on the naked female form during scenes.
But Ruth Wilson broke her own rules and put her cleavage on display as she walked the red carpet on Wednesday night, reports dailymail.
The British actress looked stunning in a daring green dress with a plunging neckline, which clearly put her assets on display as she posed for photographers.
The
vintage gown, which she teamed purple heels and a statement necklace,
certainly turned heads at the small screen event in Los Angeles.
She
was promoting the upcoming second series of The Affair, which bagged
her a Best Actress in a Drama Golden Globe earlier this year after the
original run became an instant hit.
The
33-year-old seemed perfectly at ease with her risque choice of outfit,
happily chatting to the assembled press about the next season of the
series, which focuses on her character having a extra-marital fling with
a married schoolteacher, played by Dominic West.
But
her appearance somewhat contradicted her statement earlier this week in
which she said that she 'baulked' at the idea it is essential for
actresses to bare their breasts during filming.
Green goddess: The actress, 33, looked sensational in the daring dress, which featured a cut out panel at the front
Let's talk: Her risque choice of
outfit comes just days after Ruth decried the TV industry's 'unnecessary
and unfair' focus on women's breasts
Major role: The actress happily chatted to the press about the next season despite her racy ensemble
She
explained: 'It's assumed that women will get their breasts out and have
to get their breasts out and I baulk at that. It's unnecessary and it's
unfair.'
Ruth added that during filming for The Affair she kept insisting: 'Why have I always got to do the orgasm face?
'There should be a male orgasm face. Why is it always the woman who's orgasming?'
The actress concluded that she had a 'big concern about how women are treated in the industry generally'.
