Her sweeping yellow gown prompted wild stares, inevitable derision and a seemingly endless stream of hilarious internet memes that somewhat unfavourably compared it to a frying omelette.
But while Rihanna’s appearance at the annual Costume Institute Benefit Gala proved to memorable for all the wrong reasons, an outing in New York City later that night was anything but, reports dailymail.
The singer - rocking MUNNU jewelry - led the way on Monday evening as she hosted her private Met Gala after party at the Up & Down club on West 14th Street. 
Opting for a retro sheer top that inadvertently revealed some major side-boob, Rihanna was ready to let her hair down as she sashayed inside the venue after a decidedly mixed red carpet appearance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 
Generously cut satin trousers and chunky Christian Louboutin heels completed another memorable look for the sultry star.  
But while her choice of ensemble exuded vintage glamour, it was undermined by an unfortunate nipple slip as she made her way inside the popular club.

Other guests included actresses Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lawrence, whose bold silver evening gown ensured she caught the eye as she made her way inside. 
P. Diddy looked dapper in a smart tuxedo, crisp white shirt and bow tie after arriving at the Up & Down Club with stunning girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Meanwhile British actress Lily Collins looked stunning in a demure black blouse and accompanying white skirt with distinctive floral embellishments.
Emily Ratajkowski was another fashion high point courtesy of a bold lilac jumpsuit, as was Olivia Wilde, who opted for a plunging embellished gown.  
Elsewhere John Legend was hand in hand with wife Chrissy Teigen ahead of Rihanna's official party.

Hours earlier the songstress quite literally shut down the red carpet in a huge yellow gown - by Chinese couture designer Guo Pei - that left little space for anyone else at the Met Gala. 
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute had already rolled out the red carpet for the who's who of fashion, but Rihanna certainly took up the most room.
Rihanna's giant creation featured a fur-trimmed yellow cape with floral swirls of gold and a train so long it required three wranglers.

Fines on broadcast stations: NGE salutes court over perpetual order against NBC

(Nigeria) The Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE, has commended the Federal High Court Abuja, over its order of perpetual injunctions restraining the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, from imposing fines on broadcast stations in the country. Ruling on originating motions marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1386/2021, instituted by the Incorporated Trustees of Media Rights Agenda against the NBC - as sole respondent in the suit, Justice James Omotosho, also set aside the N500, 000 fines imposed on March 1, 2019, on each of 45 broadcast stations. The judge also held that the NBC, not being a court of law, had no power to impose sanctions as punishment on broadcast stations. He further held that the Nigeria Broadcast Code, which gives the commission the power to impose sanction, is in conflict with Section 6 of the Constitution that vested judicial power in the court of law.
