PDP plans to clone Oshiomhole’s voice, APC alleges
(Nigeria) The Edo State Government, has alleged that it had uncovered an alleged plans by the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to clone the voice of the state Governor Adams Oshiomhole, which will then be used to send out messages in
support of the PDP presidential candidate, Goodluck Jonathan.
In a statement by the Special Adviser, Media Affairs to the Governor, Prince Kassim Afegbua, the state government urged people of
the state and across the country to ignore such message as the Governor is
solidly behind the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress,
General Muhammadu Buhari and indeed all other candidates of the APC.
He said “It has just come to the attention of
government and the All Progressives Congress in Edo State that in show of
desperation, the PDP in the State has concluded plans to clone the voice of the
Comrade Governor, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, by telling people and especially
members of the APC to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan.
“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state categorically
clear that Edo state is fully in support of Buhari, the
Presidential candidate of the APC. The governor
is unequivocal in his support for the candidature of Buhari
and all the APC candidates in Edo State and across the country. The governor believes very strongly that the election of General Buhari on Saturday
March 28, will breathe a new air in the leadership of the country.
“The general public is hereby informed to disregard and
ignore any of such phony calls and text messages to suggest that the governor is supporting President Jonathan. Edo people have clearly resolved and
spoken with one voice to vote for General Buhari and other APC candidates on
Saturday March 28 and April 11, 2015. There is no going back on that
resolution. The Comrade Governor is hereby calling on all voters to go out en
masse and cast their votes for Buhari and all APC candidates in
the state in order to effect the much needed change in the leadership of the
country.”
