Why APC opposes military success against Boko Haram---Wike

(Nigeria) Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Mr Nyesom  Wike has berated the All Progressives Congress, APC for refusing to support the military following their successes in decimating Boko Haram.
He said that the actions of the opposition confirms widely held notion that tacitly support the terrorist group.
Wike who spoke on Tuesday while campaigning at Wards 4,5 and 6 of Obio/Akpor Local Government Ares, said that the claim by APC leaders that they would end Boko Haram in two weeks indicate that they have contact with the dreaded group.
He said: "God has shamed APC by ensuring victory for the Nigerian military. The APC has refused to commend our military because they are not happy.
"President Jonathan will be reelected because he means well for the country and is committed to the unity of the country. It is in the interest of Nigeria and the South-South that President Jonathan is re-elected."
On the APC Presidential candidate, Gen Muhammadu Buhari,  Wike said a man who truncated democracy as a young man cannot be a promoter of democracy at 73.
He said: "Buhari cannot learn the promotion of democracy at old age when he is approaching the end of his earthly journey. The man lacks democratic credentials and cannot influence development. He has nothing to offer Nigeria."
Wike said that the outgoing Governor Rotimi Amaechi was in APC due to his selfish interest as he has abandoned the political interest of Rivers State and the South-South.
On the development of the wards, Wike assured the people that he will improve basic amenities in the area.
Responding at the Palace, HRH Eze SNA Arisa endorsed Wike to lead Rivers State back to development. Also speaking, Ward 4 PDP Leader, Richard Ehie declared that the entire ward will work for a PDP victory.
At Ward 5, Chairman Elelenwo Council of Chiefs, Chief Mike Wodi said the ward will vote en-masse for Wike and other PDP candidates.
