Russian humanitarian convoy head for Donetsk, Lugansk

Trucks of the Russian 12th humanitarian convoy have crossed the Russian border and are heading for Donetsk and Lugansk, press service of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry said on Saturday.
"The customs clearance procedures are over; about 80 trucks head for Donetsk and another 80 - for Lugansk," the press service said, reports Tass.
Every part of the convoy is delivering over 750 tonnes of humanitarian aid that includes foodstuffs, medicines, essentials and construction materials.
This is the 12th Russian humanitarian convoy to Donbass. Its formation was completed on Friday. All the trucks underwent maintenance and additional instructions were given on driving in bad weather conditions, including a thick fog.
"All the drivers-rescuers have a huge experience of carrying out humanitarian operations and have repeatedly delivered cargos to the Donetsk and Lugansk regions," a ministry spokesman said.
Since mid-August 2014, 11 Russian humanitarian aid convoys have delivered more than 14,800 tonnes of relief supplies, mainly foodstuffs, medicines, building materials and primary necessity items to people in the conflict-hit region.
