Certificate saga: Listen to INEC, Buhari tells Nigerians

(Nigeria) The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), says Nigerians ought to have listened to Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, instead of making an issue over the ingenuity of his certificate.
Buhari said this in an interview with newsmen after an initial briefing where the Peoples Democratic Movement, PDM, presented a resolution supporting his candidature for the February 14 presidential election.
According to him, INEC has his certificates, adding that anyone with a difference of opinion should seek redress in court.
``Well, I’m not surprised, this is Nigeria. If people are serious about this issue they ought to have listened to INEC. I ran for this office, this is the fourth time, INEC by law has got those documents, they say they’ve got them; anybody who has got any different opinion should go to court. They are now in court so let them remain there,’’ Buhari said.
