Oshiomhole recalls Ihonvbere, accepts Commissioner’s resignation

(Nigeria) Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has reinstated Professor Julius Ihonvbere as the Secretary to the State Government.
The reinstatement follows the review and resolution of the issues which led to the resignation of the SSG on December 9, 2014.
Prof Ihonvbere’s reinstatement is with immediate effect.
Meanwhile the State Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Mobilisation, Chris Okaeben has resigned his appointment in line with the electoral and constitutional requirements which mandate political appointees to resign 45 days before an election.
Okaeben is the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Oredo West Constituency in the House of Assembly election holding in February, 2015.
The Hon Commissioner thanked the Governor for the oppotunity given him to serve.
The Governor who has accepted the resignation of  Okaeben thanked him for his contributions to the Edo project and wished him resounding success in the February election.
