Atiku at Christmas urges hope, peace

(Nigeria) Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on Nigerians to celebrate Christmas with renewed hope for a better Nigeria.
He also urged them to promote peace during this season of joy and good tidings.
Atiku said in a goodwill message by his media office in Abuja on Tuesday, said that irrespective of the difficult challenges facing the country, Christians and indeed all Nigerians should celebrate the yuletide with hope and prayers that God will heal our land with His infinite peace.
"Our country is in trouble of maladministration marked by insecurity, but we should still celebrate Christmas with hope because it is a season of joy; and with prayers and deep reflections, God will heal our land and we shall prosper again,'' the former Vice President said.
He urged Nigerians irrespective of their belief systems to promote peace and harmonious coexistence for the unity and stability and progress and development of our nation.
He wished Nigerians and all people of goodwill a merry Christmas.
