2015: APGA pegs governorship forms at N12million

(Nigeria) Ahead of the 2015 general elections in the country the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has released guidelines  for the conduct of its primaries to select candidates for the elections.
According to schedule of activities released after a meeting of the party's National Working Committee (NWC) and signed by the National Secretary Dr. Abdulahi Sani Shinkafi the purchase and return of the expression interest forms and nomination  begins on October 27 and ends on the 4th of the November.
The party pegged its governorship form at N12 million with the expression of interest form going for N2million while the Nomination Form​​​ is N10million.
For the State Houses of Assembly the expression of Interest form goes for N200,000 while the nomination form is N1million. The expression of interest form for the House of Representative is N500,000 and the nomination form is N2million. Expression of Interest Form​ for the Senate sells at N500, 000, while the nomination form is N3million.

Shinkafi said that Women Aspirants shall pay only 50% of the fees for the Nomination Forms  stipulated above. The State Assembly and National Assembly Expression of Interest Forms and Nomination Forms are obtainable at the State Secretariats of the Party.
While the Governorship Expression of Interest Forms and Nomination Forms are obtainable at the National Secretariat of the Party, Abuja.
The statement further read that "Forms are obtainable with certified Bank Drafts (non-refundable) made payable to All Progressives Grand Alliance, National Headquarters, Abuja. Upon completion, the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms shall be returned to the Points of Purchase, accompanied by all relevant Documents stipulated therein.
"The Party reserves the right and discretion to issue Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at any time before the scheduled Primaries.
The Screening of prospective aspirants and the determination of appeals arising from the exercise for State House of Assembly Was fixed for 7th November – 8th November 2014, and Appeals arising out of the Screening​​-  10th November, 2014
​at State Secretariats of the Party : 
For the House of Representatives the Screening is scheduled for the State Secretariats of the party for the11th Nov. – 12th Nov. 2014, while appeals arising therefrom ​​​was fixed for 13th November, 2014 ​at State Secretariats of the Party.
The Senate Screening is at State Secretariats from 14th November, 2014 and the appeals arising therefrom ​​​-  15th November, 2014, at the State Secretariats of the Party. The Governorship Screening at National Secretariat from the 20th Nov. – 21st Nov. 2014. While the Appeals arising therefrom ​​​- 22nd November, 2014 ​​at National Secretariats of the Party.
The primaries to nominate candidates for the ward congresses  are scheduled as follows;
(1)​Ward Congresses for the Election of 3 Ad-Hoc Delegates – November 12th, 2014
(2)​State House of Assembly Primaries  -​November 18th 2014
(3)​House of Representatives Primaries -​November 24th 2014
(4)​Senate Primaries​​​-​November 28th 2014
(5)​Governorship Primaries​​-​December 4th 2014
The resolution of appeals and disputes arising from the primaries were fixed as follows;
(1) State House of Assembly    –    November 20th 2014.
(2) House of Representatives    -    November 26th 2014
(3) Senate                                  -    December 1st 2014
(4) Governorship                        -  December 6th 2014
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party will meet on November 3, 2014 to approve the Guidelines for the conduct of the Party’s Primaries.
