Saudi Arabia executes 19 people in 2 weeks---- Human Rights Watch

Saudi Arabia has executed 19 people since August 4, Human Rights Watch stated on Thursday, including eight executed for non-violent offenses, and one for sorcery.
The watchdog said more executions were likely planned. Families have expressed fears for loved ones on death row.
``Any execution is appalling, but executions for crimes such as drug smuggling or sorcery that result in no loss of life are particularly egregious,” said Sarah Leah Whitson.
Beheading is a common method of execution in Saudi Arabia and often takes place in a public area.
Executions are announced by the official state-run news agency in the absolute monarchy.
