Israel airforce strikes at mosque in Palestine refugee camp

Israel’s Air Force delivered a missile strike on the Salakh-ad-Din Mosque in the Jabaliya refugee camp following an attack on a United Nations-funded school in Beit Hanoun in Gaza’s north, reports Itar-Tass.
Earlier in the day, at least ten people were killed and 159 wounded when Israeli Air Forces delivered a missile strike on a school of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, the Al Mayadeen TV channel said citing Palestine medical sources.
Al-Mayadeen TV channel said that hundreds of residents were entrapped in the cellars on the outskirts that the Israeli military had been pounding.
“The reports say people are striving to leave the dangerous district but cannot. It is very risky,” a spokesman for the Gaza’s health ministry said. “The death toll has risen to 18, the wounded are well over a hundred but we are unable to help them.”
He said they were faced with an analogous situation in the refugee camp in Shejaya where 72 Palestinians were killed, with 72 men, 13 women and 21 children among them.
Israeli military claim that Hamas militants use mosques, schools and hospitals to store missiles they shell Jewish localities with.
The UN-funded schools are sheltering Gaza residents whose houses were destroyed by Israeli bombings.
Since July 8, the day when Israeli army launched its Operation Protective Edge, 721 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip, a spokesman for the Palestine enclave’s healthcare ministry said.
