EU, Russia and Ukraine hold expert consultations on association deal


The European Union, Russia and Ukraine held in Brussels on Thursday expert consultations on the association agreement between Brussels and Kiev, the press service of the European Commission told ITAR-TASS.
It was an expert meeting at the level of heads of departments, and its results won’t be commented officially, it said. The talks came one day ahead of the signing the deal's economic element on the sidelines of an EU summit in Brussels.
A European source told ITAR-TASS that the parties at the consultations had confirmed the date of a ministerial meeting with the participation of EU Trade Commissioner Karel de Guht, Russian Minister for Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev and Ukrainian Economy Minister Pavel Sheremet. It will be held in Brussels on July 11.
