Putin accepts early resignation of Maritime Territory’s governor

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has accepted an early resignation of the Maritime Territory’s Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, who will participate in the elections due in September, reports itar-tass.
“Having worked as the Maritime Territory’s governor for two years, I realise clearly it would be impossible to continue working without trust from the people living here,” he told the president. “I would need to see a demonstration of trust. Thus, I would like to ask for your support to allow me to participate in an early election of the governor due in September this year, and meanwhile to continue the work, if you allow me.”
Putin agreed. “I know that you have good results,” he said. “I do not mind.
