Petro Poroshenko scores 54% of Ukraine’s presidential poll

Petro  Poroshenko is winning Ukraine’s early presidential elections with 54.69 percent of the vote, the Ukrainian Central Election Commission said on Tuesday after counting 98.48 percent of protocols, reports itar-tass.
His closest rival, Ukraine’s former Prime Minister and leader of the Batkivshchina (Fatherland) party Yulia Timoshenko is scoring 12.82 percent of votes. Next are Oleg Lyashko with 8.33 percent, Anatoly Gritsenko with 5.48 percent and Sergei Tigipko with 5.22 percent of votes.
Early presidential polls were conducted in Ukraine on Sunday, May 25.
