Court remands man, 76, for alleged possession of 18 human skulls

(Nigeria) An Ota Magistrate Court in Ogun  State on Monday remanded a septuagenarian, Sunday Toyinbo, and one Adelani Ogundimu, 40,  for allegedly  being in possession of 18 human skulls and conspiracy.
The prosecutor, Sgt. ItaIta Ebobimino told the court that the accused and others now at large committed the offences on March 11  at Yewa and Ado-Odo area of the state.
He alleged   that Toyinbo, 76 and the other accused  engaged in unlawful exhumation and possession of the human skulls for  ritual purposes.
Ebobimino said that the offences contravened sections 329 (a) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Law of Ogun State, 2006.
The Magistrate, Mrs Titi Bello, directed that  the accused  be kept in prison custody.
She adjourned the case till May 26 for mention.
