3 ex-staff sues Dangote Foundation over unlawful sack

(Nigeria) The Dangote Foundation was on Tuesday dragged before the National Industrial Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, over an alleged unlawful termination of the appointments of three of its staff.
The three former employees, Danjuma Esuga, Aminat Bala and Bukola Afolabi, who instituted the case claimed through their counsel, Akin Akintoye, that Dangote Foundation wrongfully terminated their appointments on March 31, 2012.
Akintoye said that his clients were not given any notice before their appointments were terminated by Dangote Foundation.
He said that his clients were urging the court to order Dangote Foundation to pay all their outstanding salaries and allowances, and one million Naira to each of them for damages.
Trial judge, Justice Edith Agbakoba adjourned the case to June 23 for adoption of written addresses
