Gunmen free suspect at Giade police station

(Nigeria) Bauchi State Police Command said that gun bearing men suspected to be cattle rustlers have attacked Giade Divisional Police Station and set a detainee free.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Haruna Mohammed in Bauchi on Thursday.
It said armed men used guns and explosive devices to damage part of the building and escaped with a suspect, one Iliyasu M. of Jigawa State.
The added that the attack on the station located in Katagum Local Government Area, was repelled by men of the command.
It added that efforts were on to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
He appealed to members of the public to volunteer useful information that could lead to the arrest of the miscreants.
