(Nigeria) The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, said a policeman died and 11 persons sustained injury in a multiple auto-crash on the outskirts of Onitsha on Tuesday.
The incident took place at 2.30 p.m. in New Auto Tyres Market, Nkpor, near Onitsha, on the Onitsha-Enugu Road.
FRSC said the accident involved a motorcade of a bank bullion van comprising its Hilux escort and four commercial vehicles.
The Unit Commander of FRSC in the area, Mr Sunday Joseph, who confirmed the incident, said: ``I am aware of the death of only one policeman, while 11 persons were injured.’’
