Man, 35, appears in court for kissing, romancing a minor

(Nigeria) A 35-year old man, Lukman  Akinola, on Tuesday appeared before an Ibadan Chief Magistrate  Court, Oyo State for alleged romancing and kissing a 13-year-old girl.
Akinola was arraigned on a one-count charge of indecent assault.
Prosecutor James Oriola told the court that the accused indecently assaulted the minor by romancing and kissing her without her consent on October 15 at Oke-Seni Area, Mokola, Ibadan.
Oriola said the offence contravened Section 222 of the Criminal Code.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Counsel to the accused person, Mr Sunday Adediran, urged applied for the bail of his client  on a liberal term.
The Magistrate, Mrs Risikat Ebeloku-Mustapha, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ebeloku-Mustapha said one of the sureties must be a Civil Servant and adjourned the case to November 19.
