Rouhani: Iran warned US before chemical attack
The Iranian authorities before the chemical attack
near Damascus had warned the United States that the terrorist groups
acting in Syria had access to chemical weapons, Iranian President
Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday in an interview with the U.S. PBS
television channel, reports Itar-Tass.
He said that the Iranian side had informed U.S. officials that the facilities (for the production) of chemical weapons were in the hands of terrorist groups in Syria.
Rouhani stressed that Iran strongly condemned the use of chemical weapons by anybody.
As for the chemical attack in a suburb of Damascus, according to the Iranian president, it was necessary to carry out additional work to find out who did it.
