Mortar shell falls on Iraqi embassy in Syria

A mortar shell fell on the territory of the Iraqi embassy in Damascus on Thursday, reports ITAR-TASS.
According to Al Arabiya TV channel reports, the only victim of the incident became a female citizen of Iraq.
The shell hit the visitors’ hall of the diplomatic mission, injuring three people.
The building was impaired extensive damage.
It is not known yet who stands behind this attack.
The US embassy in Syria is located next to the Iraqi Consulate.
It was closed in February 2012 due to aggravation of situation in the country.
