Plane with 120 children aboard makes emergency landing in Grozny

A Yak-42 plane with 120 children aboard made an emergency landing at Grozny airport on Saturday, a Chechen Transport Ministry official told Itar-Tass. Nobody was hurt.
The children were on the way to Turkey for holidaying.
The plane flew out from Grozny for Antalya at 09:00 Moscow time. Some 40 minutes after the takeoff, the pilot reported to an air traffic controller that one of the engines malfunctioned. The decision was taken to return to the airport. The plane landed safely at 10:30 Moscow time.
An investigation is underway to establish the cause of the engine malfunction.
